[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text content_tablet=”On On 11 and 12 June 2024, the annual meeting of the Espacio CPI Salud took place in Seville, Spain. The format of the CPI \u2013 Innovative Public Bidding \u2013 offers a unique opportunity for innovation in Spain. The Espacio CPI Salud promotes the impact of the funds allocated to innovation, creates spaces for interaction, trains professionals and strengthens innovators in public health at a national level.<\/p>\n

As part of Espacio CPI Salud, PGXperts, together with its consortium partners Illumina and Life & Brain, presented the success story of the MedeA project. The MedeA project was launched by the Health Service of Extremadura (SES) to provide Personalized Medication to the citizens of the Spanish province. This groundbreaking project began in November 2023 with the clinical validation phase. It is set to be available to the population of Extremadura starting in January 2025. <\/p>\n

The potential benefits are enormous: a reduction in the side effects of medication and a significant improvement in the quality of life for the citizens of Extremadura.<\/p>\n

The MedeA project is unique in the world because it makes personalised medicine available to an entire region and thus represents a milestone in healthcare in Europe.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank the organisators for the great event and for the opportunity to share our successes and visions. Special thanks go to our partners Illumina and Life & Brain for their excellent collaboration on the MedeA project.<\/p>\n
