It’s a wrap – Recap of ESPT 2025!

11. November 2025 /
Events

From November 5 to 8, 2025, we were represented as a Platinum Sponsor at the 8th ESPT Congress in Rotterdam. It was an inspiring four days filled with great discussions, new ideas, and remarkable progress in pharmacogenetics and personalized medicine. At the De Doelen congress venue, everything revolved around the latest insights in PGx and personalized therapies – and PGXperts was right at the center of it with our own booth.

We still remember attending the 2nd ESPT Congress back in 2013 in Lisbon. It’s incredible to see how far personalized medicine has come since then and how much passion and innovation continue to drive the field forward. With around 500 international participants, the conversations throughout the congress were energized, curious, and collaborative.

Recap ESPT Congress 2025 at Rotterdam

Our highlights at ESPT Congress

Our CEO had the honor of giving a talk on “Advancing Personalized Medication in Primary Care through Digitalization and Pharmacogenetics”. She shared our learnings from more than a decade – from early pharmacogenetic insights to enabling personalized medication at the point of prescription. While clinical, structural, and educational challenges remain, we at PGXperts have dedicated the past years to improving medication safety, managing complexity, and building the digital infrastructure needed to provide physicians with accessible and actionable genetic insights.

Another special highlight this year was the first-ever ESPT Contribution Award 2025, presented to Magnus Ingelman-Sundberg for his pioneering work and lifelong commitment to advancing pharmacogenetics and its clinical implementation. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

A big thank-you to everyone who stopped by our booth and to the fantastic organizing team led by Ron H. N. van Schaik and Mikko Niemi. Your hard work and dedication truly made this congress a great success.

Already looking forward to ESPT 2027 in Sardinia!
